Left feeling ‘Inside Out’.
Hmm, certainly isn’t up there with my favourite offerings from Pixar. This seemed to lack the two humour levels, one for adults and one for children, that normally make Pixar films great for all the family.
Overall the emotions side to this film was more limited than I was expecting. It did show in a positive way that feeling sad is not a ‘bad’ emotion to have.
At times the whole thing dragged, a view shared by the teenagers who went with me. I did like what happened to forgotten memories, that explains everything!
The parents failed to recognise any transition for Riley, with or without autism, as they moved from wilds of Minnesota to city streets of San Francisco with serious repercussions!
